Yesterday was Pi Day…
But today is FRIDAY!
I did a short, easy jog to CrossFit where we then did the best WOD ever:
I am not a very competitive person but for once I was all over this workout and tried to blow as many people in the dust as possible. Muahahaha!
Anthony is feeling a little under the weather this week so instead of running he did strength stuff while I sprinted. What a team we are!
All week I’ve been struggling to get out the door to workout, but then once I’m outside my mood just completely flips. Getting going in the mornings really boosts my energy for the rest of the day. Does anyone else feel the same?
Though I will admit that though I’m happy, I’m tired. Last night was a wild one!
First my friend Michelle and I went to LivingSocial’s Paint & Sip class last and had an awesome artistic experience.
We unleashed our creative sides and it was super fun to do something different. My favorite part was looking at all of our classmates’ artworks — it’s so interesting seeing everyone’s different takes on the same picture!
Now the question is: what do you do with a self-painted B-grade painting of a peacock?!
I don’t know, but the first thing I did with my peacock was take it straight out for a drink. It has been ages since I saw Melanie!
We tried out a new (to us) bar in Chinatown called Bistro d’Oc. It was SUCH a joy to find a little, quiet bar in Chinatown, which is generally packed with big, loud, and dark bars. I had no idea Bistro d’Oc was hiding around the corner and am so happy to discover it.
Unfortunately I can’t tell you about the food (no going out, for Lent!), but the bar was great. And so was the company, obviously.
I felt so French sitting at this quaint little bar drinking wine that I decided to name my peacock Paulette.
A très bientôt!
- What brings you joy outside of running?
- When was the last time you painted?
- What energizes you for the day?
Of interest:

I’ve done three of those painting classes and LOVE them… aren’t they so much fun
Yours turned out adorable!
