time for: taste of nashville + track

Hey there! I have the usual run to share with you today, but also have a not-as-usual event to share with all my Nashville folk.

Taste of Nashville
is coming up this Friday, November 7th! In its 13th year, this food-focused event knows what it’s doing — and has a pretty awesome lineup of local restaurants and chefs for 2014. More than THIRTY food/drink sponsors are on the roster, which you can check out here. My must-see (must-taste?) list includes Acme Seed & Feed, Sinema, Etch, Mitchell’s Deli (never tried it!), and MOTO. Yum.Taste_of_nashvilleIn addition to plentiful food, the event will also have live music and an OPEN bar. Plus, proceeds from the event support local youth through the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee and Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee.

Learn more about Taste of Nashville, buy your tickets, and check out the event on Twitter and Facebook. I’ll see you there!

And back to our regularly scheduled run….IMG_5330Since daylight savings hit, I’ve seen the light again! Which meant I was able to hit the track. Thank goodness.IMG_5331On the menu: Four non-stop miles at a 6:40ish pace. Nice and simple for my last speed workout before the marathon! I’m feeling good and wishing I could wear these obnoxious highlighter shoes everywhere, actually.IMG_5327And that’s all I’ve got for now — but I might be back later with a loaf of bread :)

  • Nashvillians: What’s your favorite food/drink event in town?
  • DC/VA/MD-ers: Are you running Richmond?!
  • Everyone else: love or hate daylight savings?

  1. Enjoy Taste of Nashville! Unfortunately I can’t make it this year, but it’s a really fun event with plenty of delicious food!
