Good day to you!0422150651Not that anyone remembers, but I did say yesterday that I was going to do my track workout on Thursday. But I went today instead. Change of plans!0422150622I figured I’d get my speed session in today so that I can rest up for the Country Music half marathon this weekend! Oops. All the Boston energy spilled over and made me want to race. The CM half was my first ever race (2008) and I also did it last year. Can’t wait to give it another go this weekend! Considering I decided to run it yesterday, I don’t have any real goals in mind. I’d love to beat my time from last year, though.

Since I know I need to get 3x faster by Saturday, I gave it my all at the track today.0422150650g8x400m, at about 85 seconds per rep. Standing rest of 2:40 between each rep. (Roughly a 2:1 rest:work ratio). Anthony came along too!0422150651aGood run.

Topped with carnitas (I loosely followed this recipe), sauteed onions and peppers, and black beans. On the tippy top: sliced radishes (love their crunch!), avocado, cheese, and sour cream! Wow, that’s a lot of food.   1. Yep! My first half, I was working for a running specialty store, and I was comped an entry to this race, so I just did it! I’d been running a ton with the folks at work, so I figured I was trained up! Turns out I was, and I never looked back!
