Rewinding to Thursday night — Anthony and I kicked off the weekend a little early with a little home-based fiesta. Anthony is on a hot sauce kick lately: this habanero tabasco is one of his favorites! We kept the heat coming with spicy Peruvian chicken that Anthony crisped up on the grill. Yum. With so much spice, we needed some cold beer to wash everything down. On Friday, we were up bright and early for a run! Katie met us at 6 am to squeeze in some miles before the rain hit.We started at Bongo Java East:and made our way to Bongo Java West!It never rained on us, but the humidity was REAL. Grey shirt was probably not the best choice for my sweat-soaked self. Thanks for the run, Katie!During the last couple miles, we even got a few rays of sunshine. Long run, done! After our run, we made our way to the lake to meet up with my whole fam. I’m adding on another mile to my weekly total after some serious family foot races. We spent the rest of the day playing dress-up and reading books inside, since it never warmed up enough to get out on the boat. The day drifted on by and then it was taco time! (FYI Anthony and I never get sick of Mexican food)
We ate dinner around 9 pm because we’re on lake time. And slept in until 8 am because we’re on vacation!
Have a good holiday weekend!
