new things, new links

Hello and happy Friday! I’m popping in to share three things and three links today. Lots of new discoveries this week!

1. Stop, Breathe, and Think app. I’ve never been good at yoga or meditation (or sitting still in general), but I heard about this free app and thought I’d give it a go. I’ve been doing mini meditations before bed for the past few nights and it definitely helps settle my brain down a bit at the end of the day. If you’re stressed or anxious or just looking to become more zen, you should give this mindfulness/meditation tool a try.

2. New wristlet I found on Etsy. I’d been looking for a small purse/clutch of sorts to keep essentials in. Unless I’m carrying my camera and/or computer, I usually don’t need a full-size bag — because if I do, I end up filling it with junk and losing things inside of it. This little wristlet keeps me nice and organized. It’s the perfect size to carry everything I need and nothing else! Phone, cards, keys, and cash. And lip gloss. nestpure shop on etsy - blue and white wristlet3. Seventh Generation laundry detergent. I can’t believe I’m lame enough to be writing about laundry detergent, but here we are. We splurged on this detergent the other week and have been really loving it. Our clothes smell like heaven and feel like clouds now — which is a big accomplishment since many of them go into the wash as smelly, sweat-soaked running tops.

Captureand here are those links! The Internet was full of fun things this week, like…

1. A Look Inside Khloé Kardashian’s Amazing Fitness Closet. I mean.khloe-kardashian-closet-72. Chipotle’s Friend or Faux game. As a Chipotle ambassador (tough job, I know), I was encouraged to share this cool game with y’all. It’s fun: you get to pick which ingredients (like hydrogenated soybean oil and fresh cilantro) are in Chipotle’s food vs. in other fast food chain’s foods. Funny and scary at the same time.
3.  Runners Connect: How to Run Hills. Love this post because it talks about downhill running form as much as it does about uphill running form. Maybe I should have read it before the Downhill at Dawn half marathon… oops.downhill at dawn half marathon race review 2015Did you discover anything new this week?

    • Haha, I’m not sure! They emailed me and asked. I think they are targeting bloggers in specific cities for now. The program started a couple of months ago.
