Taste of Nashville 2015 Recap

On Friday, I had the chance to taste all of the city’s best food. At Taste of Nashville!taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1074Some of you might recall that I attended this stellar food-and-drink event last year, so I was pretty excited to head back again this year. I took my friend Tracee as my date! 1023152101The event was held in the same space with some of the same vendors/restaurants as last year (with some new surprises) — but, the attendance was capped at 300 people less this year! More room for mingling and no lines to wait in. Nice.

After we grabbed glasses of vino, Tracee and I got to tasting! _DSC1101Citrusy scallops from St. Anejo:taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1086Beef in fish sauce with hot peppers from Virago. Sounded odd, but was actually delicious! We went back for seconds on this one :)taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1084Hot chicken! From the one and only Hattie B’s. Thank goodness they only served mild spice level.taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1093This carrot “carbonara” dish was interesting. Made by Opryland’s Ravello, I believe?taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1116Seafood bisque from Bricktops was a fave. Though the miniature spoons made it difficult to eat! Ain’t nobody got time for that.taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1106Korean bbq tacos! Created by Riff’s.taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1100And finally: A sweet treat from Nashville’s GooGoo. taste_of_nashville_2015_DSC1127After sampling bits and bites of everything, Tracee and I took our stuffed selves back home with a list of new-to-us Nashville restaurants to visit. Thanks for having me, Taste of Nashville! Hope to see you next year 😉
