Only one week until Thanksgiving! I’m extra excited because this year I get three Thanksgivings — one with coworkers today, one with friends this weekend, and one with my family next week. Flash back to friendsgiving 2013 (Hi, Meredith!):Gobble!
Speaking of which, on the menu this week we have turkey chili! This Cook Smarts creation (similar to this recipe) also features sweet potatoes. It basically tastes like fall in a bowl.We really liked this recipe — my only criticism is that there weren’t many veggies in it! So I added some steamed broccoli on the side for some green power.Topped with crazy red tortilla chips, a sprinkle of cheese and cilantro, and a lemon-garlic yogurt. Yum.In other news, today is a beautiful day. The early morning air was so foggy my camera couldn’t focus!Katie and I met up extra early today so most of the miles were dark (other than the brilliant light of my beautiful head lamp). I spotted the sun coming up juuuuust when I was on the last mile or so.I think I was asleep for most of this run which is the #1 way to sneak a workout into your day. I don’t remember 99% of the runs I’ve done in my life because they’ve all been before 7 am. But apparently today I did six miles.Last random note: as my Instagram peeps might have already seen, I spotted this ad in my Redbook mag last night and got way too excited. Curly hair power!
