It’s kind of depressing out there. But on the bright side: We’re halfway through the week! Anthony and I have had/will have something after work every night this week which is making the days fly by. Also means that we’re going to bed too late and waking up extra tired. Thank goodness I’m a morning person and don’t mind waking up at 4:45 to run in 30-degree weather for some reason. And thank goodness the reason I stayed up too late last night was because I was eating queso with friends. Totally worth it! My church group is back after our winter break and celebrated the new year with a potluck-style Mexican feast. I contributed my go-to slow cooker black bean recipe + Chipotle-style brown rice. Yum.Six and a half miles because I couldn’t decided between a six- or seven-mile route and had to compromise with a halfway route over the bridge and through the woods. (BTW is anyone else obsessed with TSwift’s Out of the Woods? I can’t stop singing it!) I’m going to end this post with a few announcements from our sponsors:
- Random act of PF Changs kindness: I don’t know the last time I ate at PF Changs, but I used to be a waitress at Pei Wei (owned by the same group) so I have a soft spot in my heart for this chain restaurant ;). PF Changs wants to let you know that the Chinese New Year is coming up. “Share a Chinese New Year wish on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #PFChangsWish to trigger a $1 donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. P.F. Chang’s will randomly select and grant customer wishes throughout the month.” (Learn more)
- Target is sponsoring free SoulCycle classes in Nashville this weekend! Pretty cool, right? I’ve done a bunch of spin classes but never tried SoulCycle. I’m going to the FREE 9:30 a.m. class on Saturday if anyone wants to pedal away with me. Here’s all the info you need:
A fun new fitness experience is now coming to Nashville — SoulCycle. Target has launched a ten-city national tour that offers six complimentary SoulCycle classes a day – over the course of three days – in each market, and Nashville is one of them. It’s all part of Target’s goal to make active living accessible, affordable and fun for everyone. The tour will land at the Bridge Building from Jan. 29 through Jan.31. Individuals can sign up for classes beginning Friday here. Classes will be held at various times between 8 am and 6 pm.
In addition to the rides, Nashville will host a pop-up shop dedicated to wellness products including apparel, electronics, health & beauty and food & beverage. The shop, which will also live as an online boutique on Target.com, will also feature an exclusive Target x SoulCycle capsule including hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts and tanks.
- Ever tried SoulCycle?
- Have you ever been a waitress?! If so, where?!
- All-time favorite Taylor Swift song? (I know. Tough question.)
