Hello! How was your weekend? We spent most of ours hanging out with Anthony’s family, who are all headed back to Australia! My sister-in-law + family left on Saturday and Anthony’s parents start their epic around-the-world flight back today. Before everyone left we had one last item to tick off the Nashville checklist: hot chicken. Pepperfire didn’t disappoint! I ordered my tenders “mild” and worked up a light sweat. The burn feels good.Other sweaty adventures of the weekend: A run!It’d been a loooong time since I met up with the PR Bandits for their weekend runs and I made a promise to myself that I will join them more this summer! Having a group made it easier for me to get out the door at 6 a.m.I made a new running buddy. Hi, Allison! Eight miles felt just about right for me — the rest of the group was doing 14. (!!!) I kind of miss marathon training, but it’s nice to have the summer “off” Flash forward through a cold shower, nap, hours-long adventure at Nordstrom Rack (I’m addicted), and here we are at dinner!Anthony’s dad specializes in this sage pasta dish. Dressed in a light cream sauce and topped with squash! I made a kale salad on the side.And Anthony was in charge of wine and cheese distribution. Tough job. And my last bit of exciting weekend news…. I started my own sourdough starter!!! Can’t wait to dig into the mystery of wild yeast, and bring you blog readers along for the ride
