some news

A break in our usual programming for some special news! Careful readers might have noticed a few things lately. Like a lack of wine at my table seat…

Runs that are a little bit shorter and slower than my norm…

And an outrageous amount of spicy Asian food.

Here’s why!

Anthony and I are so excited. Little lamb(kin) coming February 2017!

  1. Yay! I knew it! I haven’t commented in awhile but I’m still a regular reader. I noticed the lack of beer/wine photos lately! Congratulations!! Hope you are feeling good!

  2. Congratulations! I am a regular reader and was thinking there might be an announcement soon. The change in training was the giveaway for me. So excited for you!

  3. Congratulations!!! You’re gonna be a wonderful mama. :)

Regular reader here. I was suddenly very suspicious from yesterday’s post (the icecream pic….). I wound up looking back through recent posts and growing even more confident haha, but felt it would be rude to comment. So happy to have my curiously sated so soon. :) Can’t wait to hear all about the journey so far!

    • haha, that’s hilarious! the bump and ice cream cravings are becoming too obvious to hide, so i thought it was about time to share :)

  4. I’m a long-time lurker infrequent commenter, but I love following your blog and am so excited for you two (THREE!) Yay!

  5. Congrats! As someone who also has a little one coming in February and has already completely given up on running this pregnancy, I’m impressed with how many miles you’ve been putting in!

    • i’m lucky! i know with all of the changes there’s a chance i won’t be able to run in the future, but i’m glad it’s been okay for me so far. what’s your due date?! maybe we’ll have twinsies!

      • Enjoy it!! My first pregnancy I did run through most of the second trimester (though most everything was slow and relatively short) but this one has been harder so I’ve been doing a lot of walking instead. Probably because I was not nearly in as great a shape going into this pregnancy, but that’s what having kiddos 18 months apart will do I suppose! I’m due February 24th, but my first was almost 3 weeks early so I’m mentally preparing for early February just in case! Looking forward to hearing how you’re doing along the way! Perhaps we’ll end up in the same hospital at the same time :)

  6. AHHHH!!!! Congrats! I was wondering if something was up…………you are normally so fast and were showing paces closer to mine so I was thinking something must be up! That is very exciting! Now you can start finding jogging strollers and baby Nike and Brooks stuff-ha!

    • tell me about it! i tried so hard to find brooks baby shoes for the photo but had to settle for new balance ;). yep, slowing down a little bit. but just glad to be out there!

  7. That’s so exciting! I just had a baby a few months ago and went for my first post-baby run last week. Whew. What an experience! :)

Hope you’re feeling well! Big congratulations.

  8. Congratulations! I hope you are feeling well! I’m due in less than two months and I have to say it has been interesting dealing with all the changes. Enjoy the next trimester!

    • you’re so close! congrats to you too! no idea what running will look like for me as i get closer to my due date.

  9. Congrats! I’ve been suspicious from your lack of races and have been wondering if this sort of news was on the way! I hope you will continue to share your running/pregnancy journey because I love reading those sort of posts!

    • aw, thanks!! you’ve been with me through a lot! :) i still miss DC but am happy to have my little nashville family in the works!

  10. Congrats! I’m so excited for your guys and I did notice, but was like maybe they’re trying to cut back on drinking and have more ice cream instead.
