minutes per mile blog

How was your weekend? Ours was full of lots of time outside, good meals, and a couple of naps :) . Perfect combo!

It was kind of weird on Saturday not to go for a long run, but I went for a long walk instead! I also went to a prenatal yoga class which was fun.

Speaking of which, I finally made it to the mall to buy some maternity jeans. After taking all of your recommendations the other day (and ordering + returning a bunch of stuff online!) I bit the bullet and went in store to H&M to try on about 50 pairs. Found two winners!

On Sunday I went to the track with Anthony. He sprinted, I strolled. Loving this fall weather.

Rewinding to Friday = dinner at Tracee and Tony’s house! She made a yummy chickpea curry from The Kitchn and it hit the spot on a rainy night.

The curry continued on Saturday. We checked out Thai Phooket in Madison with our friends Kristen and Luke. The green curry was amazing but the best part of the meal was Anthony’s green tea — served in an adorable grandma-style “Cherish” mug. Ha!

We also went over to my parents’ place this weekend to celebrate my dad’s birthday. HBD pops!

I had cake, more cake, and a side of hot chicken.

We did manage to cook a couple of meals at home this weekend, promise! One of which was a pork chop salad. We’ve had two lonely pork chops in our freezer for AGES and they were driving me crazy. Does that happen to anyone else? I hate when stuff dwells in my freezer for too long. Move it or lose it!

Speaking of move it, time to get this day started. Hope you’re having a good week so far!

  • Do you ever go for walks instead of runs? Or do run/walks?
