It’s been a while since I did a pregnancy update! Here’s what’s new in babyland:
Due date: Still set for February 13th
Baby is the size of a: Butternut squash, which seems huge!
Total weight gain/loss: 9 pounds
Exercise: At the moment I can’t run or do any high-impact exercise, which has been quite a change! However, I’ve found some fun running alternatives to keep me busy and have been able to work out in some way or another on most days of the week. I’ do miss running, of course and am definitely looking forward to getting back out there for a jog, whether that be during this pregnancy or sometime post-baby!
Stretch marks: None, yay
Swelling: None, yay
Maternity clothes: You guys gave me some great recommendations last time I asked! My favorites so far are my Athleta workout leggings, this Jessica Simpson/Motherhood Maternity pullover, H&M Mama jeans, and this Old Navy cardigan. I also have a few other items that I’m not quite big enough to wear yet, but I’m sure that will change soon!
Belly button: Still an innie!
Sleep: Pretty solid other than tons of bathroom breaks. Some weird dreams (most recently that baby girl was born with full makeup on?) and a few hip and shoulder aches from sleeping on my side. Overall, though, I think I’ve been lucky so far to avoid the sleepless pregnant nights I hear about.
Food cravings: Not quite as strong as they were before, but I’m still loving breakfast sandwiches, spicy Asian food, and ice cream.
Movement: Oh yes. I think baby girl is a soccer player!
Labor signs: No, thank goodness.
What I miss: A cold deli meat sandwich and beer.
What I’m loving: Feeling the baby kick around and creating our baby registry! Things are definitely beginning to feel real.
Best moment this week: Discovering that Turnip Truck, a local grocery store here, carries quart-sized containers of Talenti gelato. The pint-sized containers are simply not adequate for my needs.
What I’m looking forward to: Trimester #3! I’m only a couple of weeks away. Bring it on, baby!
