I hope you had a merry Christmas!
Things have been pretty low key around here. Our holiday festivities kicked off with a rainy run on Friday!
It was drizzling when I started and then accelerated into a downpour for the last two miles. On the plus side, it was 50 degrees outside. I’d much rather run in warm rain than cold ice!
I think this is my longest pregnancy run since the first trimester. My legs were a little tired the next day but overall I felt pretty good!
The trick to quick drying wet shoes = newspaper.
On Christmas eve we headed to my parents’ house for a holiday feast! I was in charge of salad and bread per usual. A variation of my favorite roasted veggie salad + a simple whole wheat loaf.
My mom made an herby pork tenderloin with a raspberry glaze — yum.
Feast! It was nice to sit around and hang out with the fam without having to worry about waking up early for work or anything the next day! I think we even partied past 9 p.m.
All the food made for great running fuel on Christmas morning Anthony and I exchanged gifts and then headed to the track!
Another weirdly warm day and it was way too sunny to look into the camera.
Here’s a non-sweaty, non-squinty photo of us from the afternoon…
Family movie date. Mom and I saw Manchester by the Sea (super weird and depressing) while Anthony and my dad saw the Star Wars movie. Have you seen either? Thoughts?
As for today, we’re about to go pick up a special visitor from the airport! Lots of fun on the schedule for the next few days. I’ll try to pop in when I can to say hello, but I can’t promise I’ll be posting at my usual cadence! #ChristmasBreak
