some snapshots.

Thought I’d pop in and share a few snapshots from the past few days. ^^ I finally made it out for a sunrise run!

^^ It was chilly! Got the gloves out and wasn’t happy about it.

^^Anthony’s parents left earlier this week so it’s just the two of us. Which means I have to start cooking again! I kept things simple the other night with crumbed chicken, a brown rice/cous cous mix, and veggies.

^^ Did I say “two of us?” I meant THREE! Miss A just turned 3 months old. Happy girl. She’s more and more alert every day, and it’s been fun to see her little personality start to shine!

^^And another happy girl. There are some great little trails around our new neighborhood that Anthony and I have been exploring.

20170509_112705 ^^The downside of moving into an area that’s newly developed — a number of these trails literally dead end in the middle of nowhere. Lots of out-and-back routes happening around here! Ha.

^^ Lots of leftover salads too. Here’s that same chicken, salad-ized the next day with all sorts of yummy toppings. Sundried tomatoes are in my top 10 favorite foods list — thank goodness Costco sells them in quart-sized jars.

^^ And finally, my closet is unpacked! I never read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, but I have heard about the author’s unique vertical drawer-stuffing approach multiple times. Thought I would give it a try and have been loving it so far. #TheLittleThings

Let me leave you with a question: What are your recommendations for baby-friendly cleaning products? The tidying up continues and we’re looking for sprays, soaps, and solutions that get the job done but aren’t too harsh. Tell me your mom secrets!

  1. Hi Mary! I don’t have any kids, but I’ve always been on the non-harsh cleaner kick. I’ve used Seventh Generation (which is pretty good), but recently got a bottle of Better Life cleaner, and I really like it! Apparently, they were on Shark Tank and surprised the sharks by actually consuming the product (not recommended). https://www.cleanhappens.com/ You can see that kids were their motivation for creating such a natural product. As I run out of some of my current cleaners, I plan on buying more of theirs!

  2. I read the book and did my drawers that way as well. I’m never going back! I do it for my tech tees so I can try and all my race shirts vs the same ones over and over just because they are on the top of the pile.

  3. Homemade stuff with vinegar is great but I real life I rely on a mix of Seventh Generation, method (from target), Kirkland unscented natural detergent, Attitude shower spray/bathroom cleaner. If you find anything great let us know!!!
